Bereavement libraries for schools

21/02/2022

This year we are very proud to have donated a series of “grief libraries” to eight local schools. ⁣

Selected with help from local teachers and friends of the Foundation, the books explore a diverse range of experiences of loss in a way that is accessible to young children. ⁣

We hope these stories will help to provide young people with a vocabulary to describe and understand their own loss, as well as that of those around them. ⁣

There is still so much taboo surrounding death so we’re grateful to play a small part in bringing the conversation into classrooms, particularly in the wake of the global pandemic, when grief is more prevalent than ever. ⁣

A massive thank you to all the wonderful people who helped make this happen. ⁣
